The Perfect Thanksgiving Table Setting for 2024!
I have been collecting pieces for my Thanksgiving table setting over the last couple of years, and I am SO excited to share the results of my search with you today! When I texted Tim a picture, of what I put together he responded:
“who lives there?”
He loved it. I hope you love it, too.
As an aficionado of all things neutral, I wanted to keep the colors simple, but elegant. After considering many color combinations, I decided on the following: my beloved shiny gold (which is really having a moment in my house) along with wooden and white accents, paired with deep green foliage as my color palette. I think it contrasts perfectly with the metal table, but could also work beautifully with a table of any color!
The best part, in my humble (okay, not so humble because I really am obsessed with this), opinion, is that almost every one of these items can be reused for other holidays or in another area of your home when not in use on the table! AND they’re affordable. VERY affordable.

the place settings
Gold silverware
This gold silverware is so inexpensive from Walmart and would add a classy touch to any holiday table!
Gold chargers
These gold chargers are gorgeous and I’m thrilled with them – I got them in 13 inch “metallic foil gold” finish from Amazon. Here’s another almost identical option from Amazon: another option!
napkin rings
These napkin holders are perfect for a pop of color and are so versatile. I plan to use them again and again! Get them on Amazon!
white napkins
These napkins are from Walmart and I love the fringe detailing on the bottom – it adds an elegant detail and was the perfect addition to this Thanksgiving place setting.
gold foil plates
The plates pictured here are a gorgeous find from Pier 1 a couple of years ago and are only available on resale sites at this time. However, I was able to find a couple of other similar versions to share with you. This Amazon seller offers both dinner and salad plate sizes and both would make a lovely combination with everything else pictured here:
Solid white scalloped plates
Another gorgeous option would be going with a plain white scalloped plate. Here is my best pick for that!
the thanksgiving centerpiece
Center wooden serving tray
This Hearth and Hand serving tray is the perfect size to add some elevation to a table and could be used for serving food as well. I like different heights as my centerpiece so in this case it was used to elevate a vase.
olive branches
I looked at a LOT of faux branches, my friends, and could not find anything remotely close to the beauty of these olive branches. They are admittedly the most expensive thing on this table, but they are incredibly versatile and I PROMISE you will use them again and again. A single branch contains 7 stems. I used 4 and tucked them under the middle tray.
the candlesticks
Gold candlesticks add sophistication and beauty to any table. I am very impressed with the quality of these. They come in three different heights for added dimension to your table.
Candles
I chose these white taper candles – they are beautiful and affordable! From Kohls!
brown vases
I got these beautiful brown vases for less than $10 each and I plan to use them again and again!
center speckled vase
Another fabulous Kohls find – definitely my new favorite place to shop for vases. Less than $20 and a perfect size for an 8-person table centerpiece.
The table runner was from Pier 1 ages ago but I would do something like THIS from Amazon as an alternative. Other accessories I added to the Thanksgiving table table include THESE cinnamon-scented pinecones from Walmart as well as a few white mini beaded pumpkins – shop similar HERE.
another way I styled the olive branches!
