(VIDEO): My Birth Story (with Preeclampsia & HELLP Syndrome)

I’ve talked about my birth story which included preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome. But today, I’m SHOWING you.

I’m showing you the personal moments; the way that preeclampsia and HELLP syndrome impacted our first child’s birthday and the couple of days leading up to that unexpected birth.

My husband and I documented our experiences, and I’m tremendously grateful that we have these moments on video. I’m grateful, not just so we can see them and remember how incredible it was to welcome our first baby girl, but I’m grateful because others can hopefully learn from our experiences. You can see how preeclampsia impacted what we hoped and prayed would be an experience that did not end in c-section. We hoped it would be a natural labor and birth, but it was far, far from that.

We hope this video can help educate on preeclampsia. Maybe some of you had preeclampsia yourself and can relate. And if that is your story, I am so sorry your story didn’t go as planned either.
