What I’m Wearing This Fall!
Whew! It’s been a wild couple of weeks, friends, but I’m so happy to be back, sharing some of my wardrobe updates for the fall with you!!
You will notice that these looks are sliiiightly more fancy than my typical choices, and there’s a great reason for that: these outfits were selected with our trip to Napa in mind.
I didn’t have a lot of time to prep for the trip or shop specifically for things to wear, but I’m pretty happy with how everything turned out and worked together, using mostly pieces that were already in my closet. I’ll have to put together another post which will include my new, more casual, choices for fall (because if you know me well, you know I’m rarely dressed up this much)!
Before we get started, I have to say that I’m bummed that most of the pieces I have from Jane.com are no longer available, so I tried to link similar styles when possible. I included the original links, however, so you can sign up to be notified if/when the deals come back!!! I will try to use more selections that stick around online in the future!
And just a note that nothing here is sponsored (and no links are affiliates!)
Outfit #1:
Top: Flowy Draped Tee from Jane.com – I paid $21.70 ($15.99 + shipping/taxes). This is such a comfortable tee, with adorable sleeves. It’s super flattering. You CAN see through the armpit at the right angle, however, so it needs a tank underneath or some bravery to wear. 🙂 I ALMOST wore this skirt with a white top, but for wine tasting, I decided again that because of the possibility of red wine spills. The black ended up being a perfect choice!
Skirt: Plaid Weekend Skirt from Jane.com – I paid $18.44 ($12.99 + shipping/taxes). This is one of my FAVORITE pieces this fall. It’s soft and stretchy, and a decent length so I’m not constantly stressed out in it!!! Such a cute pattern. It’s not currently available but I hope it comes back!!!
Shoes: Ancient American Eagle sandals. We were doing a LOT of walking, so I wanted to keep my shoes as simple (read: AS FLAT) as possible. These were perfect. THESE Steve Madden sandals would have been a better fashion choice, available at Express – $59.95.
Jewelry: The necklace is from Express Outlet. Similar style: Cubic Zirconia Circle Layered Necklace – $20.94
Look #2:
Dress: Lauren Conrad Pleat Neck Dress (I got it at Kohls) – currently on sale $36.99 – it was simple and comfortable. It has a tie-back neck, which was a cute detail.
Boots: Ruffle Comfort Sole Booties from Jane.com – I paid $37.99 ($27.99 + tax/shipping) These boots are not currently available, but I hope they come back soon so you can all get them. They aren’t too high (I recently wore them comfortably for half of a day), and the soles are super soft!!!! I love the ruffle details.
Look #3:
Top: AE Soft Plush Waffle Long Sweatshirt – currently $20.97 at American Eagle. Seriously, this is my fav top this season, and I just bought it in two more colors!!! It’s incredibly soft and the perfect length. Plus, the sleeves are a great length (also long), which I love.
Pants: These are an old Stitch Fix score. I love the frayed ends. These are too big, however, and I wish they were more form fitting. Similar style from Old Navy: Mid-Rise Pixie Ankle Pants for Women – currently $30.00.
Shoes: Slip On Flats from Jane.com – I paid $31.47 ($21.99 + tax/shipping). I believe every fall wardrobe needs at least one pair of leopard print flats. I have an embarrassing amount at the moment. Check out the ones I linked below from Express as a great substitute!!!
Belt: This is an old, metallic American Eagle belt. I recommend trying THIS American Eagle belt that would look amazing – $20.97 currently.
Earrings: My earrings are Stella & Dot and I’m obsessed: Pegasus Earrings – $49.99
Look #4:
Top: Arya Knit V-Neck – I paid $29.31 ($26.99 + free shipping). This top is an adorable color. It falls off the shoulder sometimes, but the sleeves are so cute I can’t resist it.
Pants: Same as above
Shoes: Blush Lazae Ankle Strap Flat from Zulily.com – currently $15.79 (+ tax/shipping)
Jewelry: My bracelets are from (hold the laughter), Iciing. I actually really love the gold bangles with a leopard bangle thrown in. Why spend a ton of money on jewelry if you don’t have to? Gold Resin Tortoiseshell Bangle Bracelets – 5 Pack – $12.99. I can’t remember where I got this necklace, but here’s a similar style available for super cheap on Express.com right now: Cubic Zirconia Open Circle Pull-Through Y Necklace – currently $14.94. My earrings are Stella & Dot: Pegasus Earrings – $49.99
Belt: Same as above
Look #5:
Top: The shirt dress in black is from Express Outlet. Express.com has a very similar style currently available: Covered Button Front Shirt Dress – currently $49.99 It’s such a bummer to me that you can’t buy Express Outlet clothes online! They always have great pieces and very reasonable prices!
Shoes: The Leopard-print slide loafers are from Express.com (currently $41.99). I don’t actually love them with this dress, but they’re one of my favs this fall!
Jewelry: The earrings are a gift from my cousin who purchased from a etsy shop – similar to THESE! The bracelets are as above: Gold Resin Tortoiseshell Bangle Bracelets – 5 Pack – $12.99.
Look #6:
Top: I originally bought this top to wear to my husband’s Christmas party last year, with sequin leggings like THESE. I’ve been wanting to repurpose it, and this was my chance. It’s out of my character to wear something like this, but I felt like a romantic weekend away was the perfect opportunity to put on something a little sexier than usual. The top was Express Outlet from last season, but here’s a similar puffed-sleeve metallic you might enjoy: Negin Mirsalehi Metallic Button Front Puff Sleeve Top – currently $47.94 at Express.com.
Skirt: This is a stretchy pencil skirt in black that I have from GAP (multiple seasons ago). A similar look is here from Express: High Waisted Extreme Stretch Pencil Skirt
Shoes: Again wearing the Blush Lazae Ankle Strap Flat from Zulily.com – currently $15.79 (+ tax/shipping)
Jewelry: The earrings, again, were a gift from my cousin who purchased from a etsy shop – similar to THESE. Here’s a similar-style necklace available for super cheap on Express.com right now: Cubic Zirconia Open Circle Pull-Through Y Necklace – currently $14.94
