Mom Jeans 11 Ways – look Amazing and be Comfy

In case you missed the memo, “mom jeans” are making. a. comeback. my friends.

I don’t know about you, but I can most certainly get on board with any trend that involves loosening up clothing and still being on point. 💯 I tried on my first pair of mom jeans, and I am absolutely hooked. The stretch version I bought, for example, is so soft and comfortable, yet also extremely versatile (as I’ll show you today)! 🥳

Personally, I’m often intimidated by styles that seem “trendy-ish,” but my goal today is to make you feel incredible about a style that may initially be out of your comfort zone. In fact, Anyone (including you!!!) can rock them and you WILL look amazing.

But first, a couple things you should know about mom jeans:

  1. Firstly – They’re not just for moms. In a moment of unfortunately-not-all-that-surprising aloof-ness, when I first saw the “mom jean” category on American Eagle’s website, I got super excited that they were now making jeans just for moms! I posted about it in my stories. 🙈 However, when my friend let me know that “mom jeans” is a style category and not American Eagle deciding to make concessions just for us mamas. Ha. So that’s the level of knowledge I was starting with here. Oh, my. But don’t worry, several wiki articles and fashion mag descriptions later, and I’m all caught up.
  2. And Further – Retailers make them “cooler” now than they used to. Back in the 90’s when they made their way into popularity by being uncool, most manufacturers made them in a simple medium wash. Now that they’re baaaaaack, they came in a variety of washes and different looks, like the destroyed version I’m wearing here in today’s post. The classic “fit” remains the same, however: high waist, relaxed fit through the leg and zipper area, and long back pockets.

There are, however, some styling options that I am not including here (think combat boots, bodysuits, and crop tops). It’s just not happening for this mama, friends. Comfort is my number 1 priority, so with that in mind, I created these 11 looks with one trusty pair of mom jeans, and that’s all you will need to get started, too! Of course, I hope you love them!
