20 Easter Basket Ideas (that Aren’t Candy)!
Are you looking for some Easter basket ideas?
Easter is right around the corner, and I, for one, can’t wait. I’m helping lead worship on Good Friday and we’re planning some quality family time for Easter weekend.
As a fam, we spend a lot of time talking and teaching about the importance of Easter to us as it relates to our faith. Though the primary focus for us is on exactly that, it is fun to also participate in the other ways that Easter is celebrated, you know, with the freaky bunnies, and egg hunts, and Easter baskets and all that.
And as my gals get older, each year gets a little more exciting, especially when it comes to giving gifts.
So, for the first time, I am actually putting together Easter baskets. Last year, I bought some off the shelf at Safeway and ended up paying a pretty penny for very low-quality toys and old candy. (Classic procrastinator fail). But this year, thanks to a little planning, I’m ready with my own personally-curated Easterbaskets and I wanted to share those finds with you today! I know I’m always looking for ideas, so I thought maybe these would help you in your preparation.
Let’s start with what I’m putting in my gals’ baskets:

For any gift-giving occasion, I like to choose a mix of practical and fun.
- Simple Modern Water Bottles – I don’t know about your household, but we are constantly replacing water bottles. Fun fact, Tim actually served water to the girls in a measuring cup yesterday. 😂 I LOVE my Simple Modern water bottle so I decided to get the girls some from the same brand. Here’s the one I have!
- Easter Baskets – the girls each have their own “color” and these baskets were a perfect match!
- Native shoes – I am excited for the girls to each have their own Native shoes – I’ve heard such great things!
- Giant Bubble Wands – We needed some replacements after using ours constantly last summer! If you missed my post about making giant bubbles at home, check it out HERE: Make Giant Bubbles at Home!
- Unicorn Growing Eggs – a fun toy that my unicorn-obsessed gals should love!
- Personalized name crayons – these crayons spell your child’s name which is such a fun idea for my craft-loving kids!
- Kids Write the Word Journals – Cultivate What Matters has changed my world recently. I got their goal planner (linked HERE) and some Write the Word Journals (linked HERE) that have helped me focus my energy on what is really important to me. My oldest is starting to read and write so I grabbed a couple of write the word journals for her! I can’t wait to see how she uses them.
- The Berenstain Bear’s Easter Sunday – We’ve been in a Berenstain Bear’s phase lately, and I thought this one might be fun for Easter!
- Organic Bath Bombs – These cute bath bombs have surprises inside! They’re perfect for splitting up between kids as a basket-filler.
- Freezer pop sleeves – these sounded so fun! We now have a fun outdoor space and I can’t wait for the popscicle days of spring and summer. These little koozies will keep them cold!
