Motherhood is better when we stick together.
Motherhood is far harder than I expected, and these struggles led me to want to connect with other moms who are in the thick of it, too. As moms, we are always on the go, keeping our kids entertained while also trying to squeeze in a little bitty something for ourselves (because we know that’s healthy, right)? I’ve put together my best posts for keeping kids busy, as well as my writings on motherhood – and – warning: it isn’t always the happy stuff. Take a look around!
Behind the Adventures
Hi, I’m ANN MARIE
I’m a mama to three fiery gals, ages 4, 6, & 8. But I’m so much more than that. And I bet you are, too, mama.
My deepest passion and clearest calling is to encourage others, and I am so, so happy to be here, sharing stories freely, cultivating connections, and walking hand in hand with you. I hope that what you find here will help you on your own journey to grow and dream big and better yet, to make actual progress on reaching those dreams, my friend.

Turning 40: 4 Things to Appreciate About Reaching This Milestone
Today, I’m making a case for 40 actually being an excellent age. If you’re hitting this milestone soon, I hope these words will encourage you and remind you that there is so much to be hopeful for and appreciative of, even with your age now starting with a “4.” And keep ready for my personal reflections and life lessons learned. turning 40 | birthday sentiment | milestone birthday | middle age
Uncomfortable.
“I realize that in this season, something that wasn’t previously available to me has suddenly become available: the courage to be uncomfortable. I can actually have all the things I long for. Kids who feel valued. Kids who know God. A thriving marriage. AND a business of my own, if I choose. I can have pursuits that challenge and inspire.
I have been forcing myself to pick, unnecessarily, between personal excellence or thriving in motherhood. And I find myself certain, at this moment, as I launch myself toward the finish line at a 7:15 pace, that both are possible for me now. At the very same time.
The light switch has been flipped.
I choose courage over comfort.”
a new thing. (It’s okay to change).
When you look back on the whole of your life, what will have mattered? Let’s answer this question together, and it might just tell you, like it did for me, where that dissonance you’ve been feeling is coming from, my friend. Let me champion you and remind you sincerely: it’s okay to change.
Why I Don’t Want My Old “Normal” Back
For days, WEEKS, even, I have been counting down the moments until this will end, even with the blessings and all. I’ve longed for my “new normal” to look a whole lot more like my “old normal.” As much as we DON’T WANT ANY OF THIS, but are forced to endure…these times, these periods of disorder in our lives, are how we change. I challenge you. What will you take with you, from this time, into the “next” normal? Quarantine, covid-19, normal, return to normal, covid thoughts
