Father standing with three daughters for blog post about Father's Day gift ideas

The Ultimate Gift Guide for Father’s Day 2023!

Is it just me or is it SO DANG hard to choose Father’s Day Gifts? The dads in my life are generally pretty good about shopping for themselves, so when it comes to buying them gifts, it’s frequently a struggle for me. Do you feel this way, too?

However, you’ll be glad to know that I’ve been putting together this list for MONTHS. Each time my husband talks about something he has and loves, or something he would like, I’ve been putting it on the list you find here today (plus some added bonuses). So, my friend, hopefully you’ll find something here for that fella in your life that is in need of the perfect gift for Father’s Day 2023.

Let’s do this!

Gift ideas for father’s day 2023!

The Original Glass French Press Coffee Maker by Cafe Du Chateau

You will notice that coffee is a major theme on this list – Tim can’t get enough and there are SO many different ways to make it. This is his favorite way to make coffee while traveling (just keep that glass protected)! I bet the dad in your life will love it, too.

TRIBE Water Resistant Cell Phone Armband Case

This is quite the useful little fella – Tim and I have used ours for years (yes, I can even adjust it to fit myself!) Perfect for use while running or doing outdoor projects!

MEN’S MADSON™ II MOC TOE BOOT by sorel

These work boots are lightweight, stylish and functional: perfect for working outdoors anytime it’s not super muddy or in frozen temperatures! This is Tim’s go-to boot for spring, summer, and fall!

Breville Barista Express Espresso Machine, Brushed Stainless Steel, BES870XL

When Tim set his eye on this espresso machine, I was admittedly skeptical at first because of the price tag. Two years later, however, I can confidently say it’s been worth it for us. It takes a little time to learn how to use it (who knew there were so many ways to steam milk?!) but it’s a worthy investment for fellow coffee lovers out there.

Contigo Byron Vacuum-Insulated Stainless Steel Travel Mug with Leak-Proof Lid

Tim loves his travel mugs, and this one has been one he’s returned to time and time again (guys, he has a tendency to lose them, I’m not gonna lie). Highly functional, keeps those beverages hot nearly all day, and doesn’t leak, this one is a great choice.

Every Man’s Bible: New Living Translation, Large Print, leatherlike

I really love the look of this Bible – but obviously I love what’s between the cover even more. Recently, I got a large print Bible myself, and really like how easy it is to read (or am I just getting old?) Anyway, would make a great gift for a spiritually-open Dad.

Traeger Grills Pro Series 575 Wood Pellet Grill and Smoker with Wifi, App-Enabled, Bronze

We don’t have a smoker yet, but we’ve been looking at a Traeger or maybe a Big Green Egg? This one definitely caught our attention and would make an incredible gift.

Sun Joe SPX3000 2030 Max PSI 1.76 GPM 14.5-Amp Electric High Pressure Washer, Cleans Cars/Fences/Patios

After we bought our first home, we have quickly learned why people like to own their own pressure washers! THIS is actually going to be Tim’s Father’s Day Gift this year! *shhh!

milk frother

This would be an incredible addition to a gift basket-type situation for the dad you’re buying for this Father’s Day! At under $15, there are so many fabulous uses for this little guy. Tim uses ours multiple times a day to mix creamer into his coffee, protein shakes, and vitamins into his water. There are more expensive options but I just don’t see why you’d need to go there.

carhartt – Carhartt Men’s Rugged Flex Relaxed Fit Duck Dungaree Pant

These pants are Tim’s favorites for outdoor work in the spring and summer. They’re lighter than his other Carhartt’s so they breathe a little better and more with greater ease! (They’re also super sexy 😅).

Wireless Charging Station

Tim keeps his at his bedside and it’s both sleek and functional, keeping all the things charged! We have it in the white color. Highly recommend. Less than $35!

BBQ Apron – Mark and Graham (can be personalized)

I have been getting gifts from Mark and Graham for the last few years and the quality is always so dang incredible, and the personalization is beautiful. This apron is so functional for whatever he’s got going on on the grill or in the workshop, etc. Love, love, LOVE it.

HOKA Men’s Speedgoat 5 Trail Running Shoes

We got our first Hoka’s a little over a year ago, and I’m starting to see them everywhere I go now. It’s clear why that’s the case: these shoes are so well-made, comfortable, and lightweight. These are Tim’s all-day hiking shoes and his choice anytime we’re on trails. Big fan. Worth the price.

Oakley Leffingwell Prizm Deep Water Polarized Lenses

When Tim asked for some new sunglasses that were both polarized and had a mirrored lens, I wasn’t sure that I’d find the perfect pair. After looking into SO MANY options and asking around, I settled on these and they have been perfect. I love the blue, but there are several other options as well.

apple airpods pro (2nd generation)

I can’t say enough about these. The price tag was terrifying at first, especially because we had 1st generation airpods that still worked just fine. But the added cushion and noise canceling features truly put these airpods above the rest. This is another example, in my opinion, of a product that is worth the price tag.

portable charger for phone and apple watch

Such a cool little invention and SO helpful for that dad that is out all day, fishing, hiking, or doing whatever dad hobby keeps him outside and away from outlets! Our watches and phones all died during our last trip to Saguaro National Park. So for all future National Park trips, this is our new best friend.Get it on Amazon.

Looking for a gift that isn’t exactly tangible? How about one of these ideas?

  • A lesson for something he’s been wanting to perfect his skills at or try (like golf, sailing, guitar, or wood-working, etc)
  • A subscription to that he hasn’t been wanting to splurge on (thinking YouTube Premium so he doesn’t have to sit through all the commercials, or Hulu or Discovery +, etc)
  • A massage membership! Tim loves ours when he can make the time.
  • A clothing subscription box service for the man who doesn’t like shopping on his own. THIS list has some good options.

It goes without saying that dad would probably also love a craft or coupon book created by the kids with him in mind.

I hope this at least helps to get some ideas going for you, my friend!

This year, I get to celebrate Father’s Day with Tim AND my Dad together – a special year indeed! Let’s celebrate the dads in our lives and let them know how truly loved they are this year (and always).

And there you have it for the Father’s Day gift ideas for 2023! Let me know if you found this helpful!
