Medical Spouse Support
My heart is with (and will always be with) the physician family community. I am married the fella, Tim, right before he began medical school, and I’ve been with him every (weird and sometimes uncertain) step of the way. He’s now an Orthopedic Surgeon, a few years out of training. Going through all of these years by his side, I know the support that physician families require (but unfortunately don’t always get). I have written and continue to write about our life in Medical School, Residency, Fellowship, and beyond. I share the experiences of myself and my husband, as well as the experiences of others in hopes to encourage other physician families and help them feel less alone. Take a look around, and reach out if you need more specific support, my friend.
Behind the stories
Hi, I’m ann marie
I’m big into supporting medical spouses. At 13, I met this heartthrob of a boy in Science class in Oregon, and married him 9 years later. He’s now a busy Orthopedic Surgeon outside of Seattle. Together, we make quite the team and are constantly challenged by our three fiery little gals, ages 4, 6, & 8.
I am a Speech-Language Pathologist by training. However, I took a hiatus when our second little was born, and I haven’t been back to that world, as I’ve been out focusing on raising babies, learning about farm-life and gardening, and following Jesus one right step at a time. And that, my friend, is what has led me right here on these pages today.
My deepest passion and clearest calling is to encourage others, and I am so, so happy to be here, sharing stories freely, cultivating connections, and walking hand in hand with you. I hope that what you find here will help you on your own journey to grow and dream big and better yet, to make actual progress on reaching those dreams, my friend.
I’d love to know what you’re dreaming up, too, so I can start encouraging you today.
