Party Planning Perfection with Basic Invite | Ft. Wedding Save the Dates, Custom Invitations, & More!
*A special note of thanks to Basic Invite for sponsoring today’s post! It was incredible to be working with them and know you lovelies will adore them, too! As you know, I am committed to delivering you my honest opinions at all times, and today is no different! XO!
Friends, this is a WILD & CRAZY time of year for our family.
Two of our three darling daughters were born in the same week (two years apart).
We’ve gone back and forth (and I’ve asked for your input on this), about whether or not to do two separate parties, and this year we’ve decided to put ourselves through the maddening stress of doing just that: two separate parties on consecutive days (and they’re coming up this weekend)! Holy moly. You’ll definitely want to stay tuned to my Instagram or Facebook stories this week to watch me likely ruin several practice cakes in preparation for these parties.
But I digress.
The whole process of planning birthday parties can feel overwhelming at times to me. So much to think about! I wouldn’t necessarily call myself a perfectionist, but I would say I have very “precise” ideas about what I want. And that’s honestly what I found so cool about Basic Invite when I came across them. I can get precisely what I want. Easily. Affordably. So it takes some of that stress out of my process for me. Hooray!
When I discovered Basic Invite, it was a little too late for me to order actual birthday invitations, but I was in the market for a gorgeous custom thank you card, which I quickly found on their website: www.basicinvite.com.
And when I say “custom,” I mean CUSTOM. I headed to the stationary tab on the site, and easily found thank you cards for every occasion. I was able to choose a template and then customize all of the colors on my invite. Thank goodness for that, because my gal has had a very specific color scheme in mind (turns out she has precise ideas as well). With 180 colors to choose from, the color combination possibilities are endless.
You can truly make your invitations EXACTLY what you want them to be. I decided on a rainbow template for ours, (and yes, this will be our SECOND rainbow unicorn-themed party in the last 2 years). It took me less than 10 minutes to create the card from start to finish(!!!) I’ve used many interfaces for card designs, and found this one to be more simple and significantly more customizable than other websites. High five to them!
My cards arrived shockingly quickly and in plenty of time for the party. They are everything I want them to be: beautiful, durable, and classy. Bonus: the envelope was peel and stick – no licking required!
One other amazing feature of Basic Invite is that you can order a free, custom sample, so you can make sure your card is perfect before investing in a heap of cards. This is so important to me because I have definitely overlooked some errors on cards I’ve created in the past!
Save the Dates
If you have a party that a save the date would be appropriate for, you should know that Basic Invite is doing incredible work with save the dates!
One of my goals this year is to be less of a “last-minute” mama, and do a little extra planning, which saves us some stress. And I’m always encouraging others to do the same.
Is this something you struggle with, too?
Save the Dates are perfect for getting you and your guests prepared for your event. Basic Invite offers save the dates in many handy formats, including magnet save the dates and save the date postcards that are definitely worth a look.
Know anyone planning a wedding?
I was so impressed by what I’ve learned about Basic Invite’s wedding planning options and support that it has made me wish I could hop in a time machine and try my wedding process again. (Just to be clear: same guy, different planning process). They offer a free wedding-planning website (also fully customizable so that you can use your personal color-scheme), and their line of wedding save the dates is GORGEOUS.
Another fun wedding option: Basic Invite has a very creative new line of Seal & Send Wedding Invitations which are all-in-one wedding invitations, with a tear-off RSVP postcard included! I found myself wishing that this had been a possibility for me back when we were in our wedding-planning days as well!
I remember struggling with getting all of my wedding stationary to look cohesive, and this something that Basic Invite does so well. Because they offer save the dates, wedding invitations, enclosure cards, wedding menus, wedding programs, and even matching thank you cards, every part of the event stationary can go effortlessly together.
I can’t wait to try out more cards and styles oh so soon. I’m already thinking through some ways to “need” more cards in the future because I truly love them so much! I hope you’re as excited about them as I am!
Whether you’re working on a birth announcement, holiday card, wedding events, bar mitzvahs, or whether you’re creating cards for (another) rainbow-unicorn party (like me), you can find exactly what you want here with Basic Invite.
And I’m thrilled to say that as a part of this partnership, I’m able to offer you 30% off an order (and definitely grab a free sample first to be sure your card is perfect)! Head to basicinvite.com and enter this code:
